FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Welcome to State Electric Supply Company on line. If you wish to purchase from our on-line catalog, you agree to accept these terms & conditions. Please read them carefully. State Electric Supply Company and subsidiaries reserves the right to modify or change the Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice to you.

Returns

Refunds will only be issued under the following conditions:

  1. We accept returnable products within 30 days of receipt of the product if they are in the original packaging (including all packaging materials and accessories). The items must be suitable for resale. The customer will be refunded (less the shipping costs not included in the initial order and a 25% restocking fee) once we have received the return item and inspected the item for damage. Items returned will be issued a refund via the same method in which the item was purchased.
  2. Merchandise that has been installed, altered or damaged in any way does not qualify for return or refund.
  3. To return a product, you must request a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) Number prior to returning the product. Products without a valid RMA number will be refused from the shipper. A Return Materials Authorization may be requested by contacting us at lightingsales@stateelectric.com . Once we issue a RMA, we must receive the product within 10 days or no refunds will be given.
  4. Merchandise must be returned and shipped at customer's expense.
  5. The following types of items and orders do not qualify for returns or refund.
    1. Customized products, large orders (10 or more of the same item)
    2. Orders more than $2000
    3. Customer quotes
    4. Light bulbs
    5. Lampshades
    6. Furniture
    7. Discount or clearance products, except for damaged or defective shipments
  6. When returning any item, please be sure to pack the product properly. We recommend that you purchase shipping insurance. We cannot provide a refund for any product received in our warehouse in damaged condition. In such a case, you must file a claim with the shipping company and advise us as what to do with the damaged product. We will hold your product for 45 days, after which the product will be destroyed.
Sales Tax

Any taxes assessed or due shall be the buyers responsibility.

Privacy Policy

State Electric Supply Company and subsidiaries are committed to protecting your privacy. Information you provide us will not be sold or given to any outside party. We do share your address and phone number with the manufacturer responsible for shipping your order, but it is only used for the processing and shipment of the order. State Electric Supply Company and subsidiaries will only use your phone number to contact you in case of a problem with the fulfillment or delivery of your order. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our privacy policy, please contact us for further clarification.

Acceptance of Order

Acceptance of any order is subject to credit approval and acceptance of order by seller and his suppliers.If buyer fails to comply with these terms & conditions of sale or if buyer's credit becomes unsatisfactory to seller, seller reserves the right to terminate upon notice to buyer and without liability to seller.

Pricing or Product Description Discrepancies:

Description Discrepancies
State Electric Supply Company and subsidiaries make every effort to assure the accuracy of the pricing and product information on our website. From time to time, pricing or product information may be inaccurate. In such cases, we reserve the right to cancel your order. A complete refund will be made for any items that have not yet been shipped. In the event of inaccurate product information, our sole responsibility will be to accept the product return and provide a customer refund.
State Electric Supply Company is not responsible for incorrect colors purchased due to buyer's computer monitor color resolution. Monitor resolutions vary and may cause differences in the color viewed and the actual color of the product.

Warranties

Description Discrepancies
All products sold by State Electric Supply Company are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. This warranty will be furnished upon written request. If you have purchased a product from us and find it to be defective, please contact Customer Support at lightingsales@stateelectric.com for assistance in processing your claim. We will not be liable for installation fees of any kind.

Defective Products

If within (14) days of receiving your order, any product proves to be defective, contact us immediately. Do Not Ship the product back without contacting us first for a Returned Goods Authorization # (RGA) and return instructions. After we receive the defective merchandise, we will test it, if need be, and ship back to you (at our expense) a non-defective replacement product.

Shipping Damage

If the packaging appears to be damaged on the outside, please refuse to accept it from the carrier; or please make sure when signing the shipper's proof-of delivery slip you include a note stating the package appears to be damaged. If you do accept a damaged shipment, please inform us and the carrier (ups, fedex, etc.,) immediately. Depending on the product and where/how it was shipped, it may be necessary for you to deal with the carrier yourself. Products received with broken glass or dented shades are not considered defective. In such a case, we will provide replacement glass or shades at no additional charge.

Delivery

Orders could take 2 to 3 weeks for delivery depending on availability. Occasionally production schedules change and a product will be temporarily out of stock. This can cause delays. Backorders from manufacturers are beyond our control. Please contact us at lightingsales@stateelectric.com if your order has not been received in the time expected. We will contact you by e-mail with any backorder information we receive.
Shipping charges incurred due to incorrect address, zip code, or the refusal of an item will be charged back to the customer. We cannot ship to PO Box locations.
Seller is not to be accountable for delays in delivery.Factory shipment or delivery dates are the best estimates of our suppliers.
In no case shall seller be liable for any consequential or special damages arising from any delay in delivery.

Minimum Billings & Delayed Delivery

Orders for special order items may be refused due to manufacturer terms and conditions.

Special Order Items

Any items designated special order items will be subject to extra freight charges, special order fees & other charges that apply. Special order items could also be subject to longer lead times.
